Fed: Labor says there are other airport sites
Labor's employment services spokesman ANTHONY ALBANESE says the Opposition decisionto abandon Badgerys Creek as Sydney's second airport won't require starting afresh tofind a new site.
Mr ALBANESE -- who initially objected to the party decision to ditch Badgerys becauseof airport noise effecting his inner Sydney electorate -- says he backs moves to findan alternative.
He says environmental impact statements are available going back 30 years.
Opposition treasury spokesman MARK LATHAM says it will take time to select a preferredsite and that would probably be well away from Sydney.
Labor backbencher ROGER PRICE, whose electorate in western Sydney would have been affectedby an airport at Badgerys Creek, says all the Opposition can do is indicate a preferredsite.
