Fed: ABC and Telstra negotiating $67m content deal

CANBERRA, Feb 5 AAP - The ABC is close to securing a $67.5 million deal to supply news
and content to the telstra.com website, as well as a share of any advertising revenue.

ABC outgoing managing director Brian Johns said today the ABC had approached Telstra
several months ago about the proposed licensing deal, as part of a push to expand its
online presence and beef up revenue.
